This southerly Hertfordshire town is in someways and extension of London and its proximity to Broxbourne, Waltham Cross and Theobalds means that many Enfield residents visit the town for recreation and to enjoy its amenities.

Laura Kenny nee Trott the 2012 Olympic cyclist who won 4 gold medals is one of Cheshunts famous residents and the newly redevoped sports centre is named after her and there is a postbox painted gold in her honour.
