Space - marquee tents require the outdoor room to be installed. Either hard or soft ground and ideally flat.
Parking - with guests arriving at various times and often in small vehicles, there must be ample parking space planned.
Non-residential - ideally being in isolation from residences would be a good quality, as many councils will clamp down on noise pollution at late hours.

Lilley Village Hall is a traditional village hall with all the trimmings for a fantastic event. This little known gem is near Luton and near the grounds of St Peters Church. Owned by Lilley Parish Council this quaint building has great amenities and furniture and cutlery to hire if needed.
The Hall can comfortably accommodate 100 people but its the great grounds which are just right for a traditional peg and pole marquee. The team have previously hosted marquee-based events and would welcome your enquiry. The whole venue must be hired for each event, even if only the grounds are used.

2. Chalton Village Hall"Village Green which is level, dry and perfect for a traditional marquee."
A well-maintained and cared village hall is a great location for a successful event. Designed to be a community hub, they usually have all the amenities you need for a successful event, as well as teh classic English Village Green which is level, dry and perfect for a traditional marquee.
Chalton Village Hall has it all and to top it off the exposed eaves and Tudor-style hall adds period charm, one could expect from the larger manor houses. Chalton Village hall near Luton has played host to many marquee-based events and offer the whole hall, including grounds for hire. If electricity is required an additional supplement can be paid to power the marquee from the hall.

3. Wardown Park"One of the most visited open spaces in Luton."
Wardown Park on the banks f the River Lea in Luton is a recreational and cultural hub loved by Luton residents and vistors alike. It is one of the most visited open spaces in Luton. Previously a Victorian Country House, Wardown House is now home to Luton Museum and the restored suspension bridge across the river. Wardown House is available for event hire and the grounds may be hired for erection of a marquee. Application to erect a temporary structure in Wardown Park will need to be amde to the council who will consider on a case by case basis. They will need to know the date of the event, its timings and numbers expected. Contact Luton Borough Council for further information.
